Community Outreach: Trauma Informed Yoga & Mindfulness

This two-day professional development intensive is designed to equip teachers and practitioners with the practical tools to bring yoga and mindfulness into their local community. Moving beyond personal practice, participants will engage in a systematic process of identifying specific populations and local organizations who may benefit from yoga and mindfulness programming.

Through a curriculum rooted in evidence-based research and the ethics of service, attendees will formulate a comprehensive proposal detailing offerings, methodologies, and program structures. This training culminates in pitch presentations and simulated "outreach calls," allowing participants to practice their delivery and refine their message in a supportive environment.

By the end of this two-day session, instructors and advocates will leave with a completed research-backed proposal and the practical confi dence to initiate impactful partnerships within their local communities.

I DID IT! I'm a Yoga Teacher!

I have been practicing yoga, on and off since I was 18 years old. I fell in love with it! and ever since then, I was always interested in taking a 200-hour teacher training. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher but never had the guts to do it. When 2020 arrived, I knew this was the year I was going to make it happen. And I did. I graduated August 15, 2020. I am now a certified teacher! Just saying that brings happiness all over my body.
